Pres. Buhari nominates Dr.Kingsley Obioha as CBN Deputy Governor.


President Muhammadu Buhari has sent the name of Dr Kingsley Isitua Obiora to the Senate for confirmation as Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria.

In a letter to President of the Senate, Ahmad Ibrahim Lawan, President Buhari said the nomination was in accordance with the provision of Section 8(1) (2) of the Central Bank of Nigeria (Establishment) Act 2007.
Dr Obiora, upon confirmation by the Senate, replaces Dr Joseph Nnanna, who retires on February 2, 2020.

138 out of 176 passengers on ill fated Ukraine flight were connecting to Canada – Trudeau


Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is seeking answers. In a press briefing delivered on Thursday, Trudeau disclosed that a total of 138 passengers aboard the plane that crashed outside Tehran were connecting to Canada.

Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Vadym Prystaiko said the plane was carrying 63 Canadians, 82 Iranians, 11 Ukrainian passengers and crew, 10 Swedes, four Afghans, three Germans and three Britons.

IRAN PLACES $80m BOUNTY ON PRES. TRUMP’S HEAD

🇮🇷Iranian authorities have put an $80m bounty on U.S President Donald Trump’s head. This was disclosed during the televised funeral of General Qasem Soleimani after he was assassinated last week.
